Lakefront Web (“Lakefront Web,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at lakefrontweb.com(the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We're a small studio based in Lakeview, Michigan — this is the actual policy we follow, in plain language.

When you fill out the contact form on our Site, we collect the information you submit: your name, email address, optional company name, and the message you write. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and follow up on a potential project.

Information collected automatically

If you consent via our cookie banner, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how visitors use the Site. These tools collect anonymized, aggregated information such as page views, device type, browser, and country — they do not use cookies, and they do not track you across other sites. If you decline our consent banner (or your browser sends a Do-Not-Track signal), these tools are not loaded at all.

Information from third parties

We do not buy, rent, or receive personal information from third parties.

How we use information

• To respond to inquiries you send through our contact form.
• To improve the Site — understanding which pages help visitors and which don't (only with consent).

The Site uses localStorage(a browser feature similar to cookies) to remember your cookie-consent preference, so we don't show the banner on every visit. That's the only data stored in your browser by us.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking cookies on the Site.

We retain contact-form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of our conversation — typically the life of the business relationship plus a reasonable archival period. Analytics data (if you consent) is retained per the providers' default windows (Vercel: 30 days for Web Analytics).

Children

The Site is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For substantial changes we'll post a notice on the Site for at least 30 days.
